BOFA Creates Rewards Dashboard

The dashboard displays rewards customers earn through Preferred Rewards — BofA’s tiered rewards program for checking account customers — credit cards, and BankAmeriDeals, a platform that offers cardholders discounts at retailers and restaurants in the form of cash back.

My Rewards enables customers to see the value of rewards and redeem them. BofA has been investing in digital — it’s building out its digital platforms by integrating offerings like Erica, its virtual voice assistant that recently surpassed 3 million users shortly after launching in May, and Zelle, the bank-based P2P payment service, which has also been seeing big gains. And these efforts, among many other efforts to bolster its digital channels, are paying off when it comes to user engagement: BofA’s mobile channel usage grew by 30% year-over-year (YoY) in Q2 2018 to reach nearly 1.4 billion app logins in the quarter, which is an acceleration from the 13% growth posted in the prior Q2. Continued investment in its digital channels can allow BofA to see rising app engagement and launching a rewards-centric feature that simplifies reward redemption can attract consumers to sign up for credit cards.
